Bhubaneswar: 2015-batch IPS officer Dr Saravana Vivek M Friday took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Bhubaneswar.
Vivek was serving as Brahmapur SP before being appointed DCP September 22 in a four-officer IPS reshuffle. He replaces Jagmohan Meena, whose resignation was accepted by the Centre with effect from September 11.

An MBBS graduate, Vivek joined the IPS in 2015 and has served as SP of Rayagada and Brahmapur.
