SBI manager tests COVID-19 positive; two branch offices sealed in Odisha’s Gajapati

Paralakhemundi: The main branch office of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Paralakhemundi and another branch in the market area of Gajapati district were sealed on Thursday after the manager of the main branch tested positive for COVID-19

Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha said that the SBI main branch manager was staying in Bhubaneswar when he fell ill a few days ago. During his stay in Bhubaneswar, he underwent the Covid test where the report was found to be positive.

As the manager used to visit both the branches in Paralakhemundi, both offices were sealed. The offices will also be sanitized, he added.

The collector also said that all the staff of the two offices have been sent to home quarantine and have been asked to undergo the COVID-19 test.
