Bhubaneswar: A lady reporter of Odia daily, Dharitri, sustained injuries after a speeding motorcycle hit her at Nayapalli, Sunday. The victim has been identified as Adya Varsha Mohanty. Nayapalli police have detained the accused engineering student, identified as Muhammad Ahmed of Jagatsinghpur. Police have also seized the motorcycle (OD 02 AM 1508) involved in the accident. Sources said at around 3.30 pm when Adya was returning after attending a presser when Muhammad along with his girlfriend was racing towards Jayadev Vihar on his bike and hit Adya. The victim was rushed to the Capital Hospital in an ambulance.
