Cuttack, April 8: Secondary Board HS defeated SCB Medical College Public School by three wickets in the inaugural match of the Xth PVR Murthy Inter-School cricket tournament at the Bhuvanananda School of Engineering Ground here Wednesday.
Opting to bat first, SCB notched-up 104 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of five wickets with Vinit Singh (29) and Susim Tripathy (24) batting well. Sudipta Sahoo (3/17) bowled well for Secondary Board.
In reply, Secondary Board suffered some initial hiccups, but cantered home in 17.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Butu Swain (25) and Vinayak Behera (19) steadied the ship after the top order collapsed. Vinit (3/20) bowled well for the losers.
