Security systems in place informs Sharma

Bhubaneswar: The Orissa government is leaving no stone unturned to successfully hold  Hockey World League Finals (HWLF) with foolproof security.

State sports secretary Vishal Dev informed the media that all arrangements are in place. “We’re 100 per cent ready to host the mega event in a faultless manner. Requisite accommodation, transportation, accreditation and sanitation have been made. Apart from that, efforts have also been made for the publicity and branding,” said Dev.

On the eve of the mega event, Orissa DGP RP Sharma visited the stadium to inspect the security arrangements. Briefing media after his review, Sharma said, “Our objective is to basically ensure proper security to the players, officials and the dignitaries. We are sure that we will prevent any untoward incident from taking place.” He also said other than police personnel, plainclothes police persons will also monitor the situation both inside and outside the Kalinaga Stadium.

He further informed, “Adequate traffic regulations have been put in place. Spectators should enter through the gates as earmarked on their tickets. Gate numbers 1,3,4, 5 and 6 are meant for spectators while Gate No 9 will be for distinguished guests and mediapersons. The other gates will be for logistical purposes and team movement. “We have made sufficient security arrangements at all the gates. CCTV cameras have also been installed at vital points.”
