Cuttack, August 21: Sushre Patnaik, Sanya Mishra, Anesweta Hembram, Bhabya Bharadwaj won their respective matches easily to advance into the semifinals of the Cadet girls’ event in the YGTA All Orissa Open Table Tennis Championship, which was inaugurated at the Barabati Stadium here, Friday
In the State Inter-School Table Tennis Championship, DPS, Damanjodi and DAV, CDA,Cuttack Schools won their respective matches to advance into the second round.
DPS, Damanjodi thrashed DAV Talcher 3-0, while DAV, Cuttack beat SAI International, Bhubaneswar 3-1. KIIT International, DPS Kalinga, DAV Chandrasekharpur, Om International, Bolangir and Ispat English Medium School, Rourkela got byes to enter the second round.
Two hundred thirty participants from thirty one teams across the state are participating in the tournament.
