Bhubaneswar: Giving more updates about the health condition of conjoined twins from Kandhamal Jaga-Balia, who had undergone a successful separation surgery at AIIMS New Delhi recently, Health Minister Pratap Jena Thursday said that the health condition of Jaga is good, while Balia is still in the ICU, but is showing improvement.
“Jaga’s is showing gradual improvement and has started taking normal diet,” Jena said.
“He is now fit enough to sit and had comfortably sat on her mother’s lap without any help,” Jena told reporters here. Jaga consumed rice, daal, soup, fruit juice and water Thursday, he said.
The Minister, meanwhile, said, that “Balia is still in ICU. However, he too is showing improvement.”
“His physical movement was noticed Wednesday. Both the kids are under close observation of the doctors,” Jena added.
