Boudh: The Boudh and Kandhamal child protection unit has, in a combined raid, rescued two minor students of an Ashram school from the house of an eatery owner. The two students had gone missing from the school premises two months back.
Acting on a tip-off, the officials conducted a sudden raid at the hotel owner’s house and rescued the boys. The accused had reportedly engaged the two in his eatery and made them wash the utensils.
According to sources, two students of Hareshkrushapur village under Harbhanga block went missing from the ashram March 9.
The headmaster and the school authorities searched for the two, but in vain. Later, they lodged a missing persons’ complaint with the local police. The officials rescued the boys and handed them over to their parents. A case was registered against the eatery owner and a probe was launched.
