Bhadrak: Acting on a tip-off, local police Wednesday busted a flesh trade racket operating from a rented house in Betada Bazar area under Basudevpur police limits in Bhadrak district.
They also arrested two young men, said to be customers, under relevant sections of the IPC and rescued a woman from the house. Three others, including a woman, fled the spot.
According to a police official, a team of cops Wednesday night raided the place after being informed about the racket.
The police said prostitution in the house had been going on for some time now and local residents of the area had turned suspicious about the activities. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
It may be mentioned here that acting on a tip-off, the Commissionerate Police October 12 busted a sex racket running in a spa at Shastri Nagar in Bhubaneswar and had arrested a middleman in this connection. As many as five girls engaged in the sex trade absconded before the raid by the police.
