Mumbai: His fans have been waiting for his return since Zero turned zero at the box office. However, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has kept mum about his return plans. His close associates have said that Shah Rukh Khan is determined to comeback with a hit and hence is not taking any chances. They have also said that the actor is prepared to wait patiently till the right movie and director comes along.
Well it now known for sure that Shah Rukh will hit the screens once more with a Rajkumar Hirani film. The latter hasn’t worked with Shah Rukh ever, but is known to be a filmmaker who can deliver the goods. The two have also finalised the untitled project. Shooting for the film was scheduled to begin in May this year. However, that has been stalled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The film was scheduled for release in early 2021, but now it seems will be deferred. Sources also said that for his comeback, Shah Rukh is not really interest in an OTT release.
Well this may be the Shah Rukh part, but the real question is who would be Shah Rukh’s lady interest in what is supposed to be a thriller. Well many names have floated up, but in all probability Taapsee Pannu is all set to walk away with the cake. Taapsee has never acted with SRK in the past. However, she has featured in the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Badla, a movied produced by Shah Rukh’s company ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’.
Sources have said that Shah Rukh is highly impressed with Taapsee’s work in Badla. So she has been offered the leading lady’s role in the actor’s comeback film. Shah Rukh thinks of Taapsee as an actress with brains. So he is also banking on her to make his comeback a huge success by donning the heroine’s hat.
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in Haseen Dilruba along with Vikrant Massey. It is said to be an edge-of-the-seat murder mystery.
