Koraput: Police arrested two youths Friday night who had allegedly gangraped a 65-year-old woman at Charamula village in Koraput district October 25.

Medical examination of the duo will be conducted Sunday after which they will be forwarded to court, a police official said.
According to the FIR lodged, a 25-year-old youth named Bisu Paika and his accomplice 24-year-old Lambu Paika of the same village barged into the victim’s house at night and allegedly raped her.
However, the bizarre incident came to the fore after the victim lodged an FIR October 28. Police registered a case in this connection under Sections 450 and 376-D of the IPC. The local police immediately launched a manhunt and arrested the two accused youths.
Notably, the elderly woman is a widow and childless.
