Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, the decomposed body of an unidentified man was found hanging from a tree in a forest area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar Sunday morning, a police official informed.

Some local residents spotted the body hanging from a tree behind the government engineering college at Ghatikia area under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar before informing the police about the incident.
On being informed, Khandagiri police reached the spot, recovered the body and launched a probe in this connection.
Identity of the deceased person has not been ascertained yet.
The man is suspected to be a resident of nearby locality. Police have sent the mortal remains to Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar for post-mortem after registering an unnatural death (U/d) case.
More details of the incident are still awaited as the investigation is underway, a Khandagiri police official said.
