Helga Duffy, a 99-year-old woman, has set a record by completing a wing walk at RFC Rend Comb Airfield in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, while raising funds for the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, the BBC reported.
Duffy completed the daring feat at the airfield, where Guinness World Records officials presented her with a certificate recognising her achievement.
The eldest of seven siblings, Duffy said her late father would have been proud of her accomplishment.
She was inspired to take on the challenge after watching news coverage of Betty Bromage, who completed a wing walk at the age of 97.
The achievement also carried an emotional significance for the family, as Duffy undertook the challenge to raise money for the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.
Her nieces recalled that their mother had been transported on her final journey by an air ambulance, making the cause particularly close to their hearts.
