BHUBANESWAR, August 22: Sri Sri University held its fourth Convocation at its premises Tuesday in the presence of spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Human resources minister Prakash Javadekar, with more than 1,500 students of the university assembled at the grand event. Sri Sri said students should walk in the paths of innovation, intuition and Intelligence. ”Smile at all the challenges you face in your life and face situations with confidence. This will surely turn into opportunities.” For as many as 169 graduates and postgraduates who received their degrees, it was a proud moment in their life. As many as 11 students were awarded gold medal for their
“outstanding performance” in seven courses. They were Farrah Khatieda (MA Naturopathy and Yogic science), Grishma Shekhar (MBA), Bhavish Mahipal (MA Good governance), Suchith Peddi (Bachelor of Business administration) , Parichita Saha (BA Naturopathy and Yogic science), Centuru Shukla (Bachelor of performing arts(Odissi) and Deeptha Pandal a(MSC Osetopathy). Apart from this, Varshini Reddy, Kanchan Hatwar, Divyen Dhotre and Krishma Sandesa were awarded gold medals in different specialisations in MBA. guration took place after the convocation ceremony at Sri Sri University. The Solar Energy Training Center has been set up by Schneider Electric India Foundation (SEIF) – the part of the social commitment of Schneider Electric India – in partnership with the Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP)Trust. The centre will educate and empower youths to propel the growth of renewable energy sector in India by providing a pool of skilled resources. VenkatGarimella, Vice President – Strategy & Alliance and CSR, Schneider Electric, stated, “We recognise the importance of training in the renewable energy sector, which has immense potential. Lack of trained resources with relevant skills to construct and operate solar plants is an existing gap and ongoing challenge within India’s workforce. This skill gap is increasingly recognised as a barrier to realise the country’s renewable energy targets. Through our partnership with Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP) Trust, we are keen on addressing the skill gap in the renewable energy sector and supporting the government’s efforts towards skill development.”
