Snakes rescued from Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj hospitals

Bhadrak: Panic gripped the patients at the district hospital in Bhadrak Sunday morning as a cobra was spotted inside the female ward.

Some patients spotted the snake slithering into the ward and alerted the medical authorities. Later, a Snake Helpline member reached the spot and rescued the snake.

In a similar incident, a snake has also been rescued from Rangamatia community health centre in Baripada of Mayurbhanj district.

The reptile, around 6 feet in length, was initially spotted over the air conditioner of a doctor’s chamber. A local snake charmer rescued the animal and released it into a nearby forest.
