Puri: Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) will introduce a special darshan facility for differently-abled devotees on a trial basis after the holy month of Kartik allowing 20 devotees daily through online slot booking.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Administrator and Puri Collector Dibyajyoti Parida.
Under the arrangement, devotees can register online and book slots through a dedicated website. Each devotee can avail themselves of the facility once every six months.
Devotees will be transported in battery-operated vehicles from Satyanarayan Temple to Srimandir’s north gate. They will enter through a ramp on wheelchairs before volunteers escort them to Jaya Vijaya Dwara for darshan.
