Cuttack: Sports Hostel and Rising Student Club (RSC) registered contrasting wins against their respective opponents in matches of the FAO Ist Division Super League at the Barabati Stadium here, Friday. Sports Hostel trounced Jay Durga Club (JDC) 4-0 while RSC scrapped past Bidanasi Club by a solitary goal.
Francis Lakra put Sports Hostel in the lead in the eighth minute. D Srinath doubled the lead in the 30th minute while Sujit Tirkey made it 3-0 eight minutes into the second half. The final nail in the JDC coffin was hammered by Bhabagrahi Padhihary when he slotted home a fine volley in the 72th minute.
In the other match a 54th minute goal by Raju Bisar helped Rising Student Club beat Bidanasi Club.

Fagu Hembram scored a brilliant hat-trick to power Chauliaganj Club to a brilliant 4-1 victory over MHSS in their FAO IInd Division league encounter at the Ravenshaw University ground here, Friday.
Hembram struck in second, sixth and 54th minutes while the other goal was scored by Shyam Sundar Dakua in the 58th minute. Budhiram Dakua pulled one back for MHSS in the 46th minute.
In the other match of the day Uday Club registered the comprehensive 2-0 victory against Eleven Gun Club. Rajendra Majhi (40th) and Rocky Samal (48th) were the scorers.

Jaga United Football Club (JUFC) registered a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Gopabandhu Youth Association (GYA) in a match of the 14th Gati Krushna Memorial (Division-B) football league in Bhubaneswar, Friday.
Jagannath Nayak (32nd) and Gangaram Tudu (60th) scored for JUFC while Subrat Martha (68th) pulled one back for GYA.
