Bhadrak: A duplicate tobacco manufacturing unit operating at Prachinagar under Bhadrak rural police limits was busted Saturday night.
Spurious tobacco worth lakhs of rupees, several equipments, machines and labels of various tobacco brands were seized from the spot.
However, the main accused managed to flee the spot during the raid.
“Acting on a tip-off about the fake tobacco processing unit operating at Prachinagar, we raided the place and seized various brands of zarda worth lakhs,” said a senior police official.
Efforts are on to nab the accused, he added.
