Bhubaneswar: Governor and Chancellor SC Jamir Saturday appointed Prof Srikant Mohapatra as the Vice Chancellor of Orissa State Open University.
Mohapatra was earlier given an extension of six months on completion of his tenure as first Vice-Chancellor of the university May 17, 2017. Exercising the powers conferred by Section 10 (1) & (5) of Orissa State Open University Act, 2014 Jamir appointed Mohapatra as the VC for a period of three years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier.
