Bhubaneswar, Nov 29: Srikant Sekhar of Orissa clinched a silver medal in the VIIIth National Grappling Championship at Rohtak, Haryana, Saturday.
He secured the second position in the 85 kg category. Members of the newly formed Orissa Grappling Association congratulated Srikant for his success.
Hockey tourney
Nine teams scripted victories against their respective opponents in the inaugural matches of the first Inter-city Gold Cup Hockey tournament played here at Rourkela, Sunday.
In the professional division, State Hostel Panposh sub-jr scarped past Biramitrapur XI 3-1. In the only match played in the division, Ajit Ekka, Sudeep Chirmako and Prajukt Nag scored a goal each for the State Hostel while Ayjub Kerketa got one back for Biramitrapur.

Athletic meet
Bhubaneswar Athletic Association will organise it’s Annual Athletic Meet at the Kalinga Stadium here November 30- December 1.
