State allots land for 7 units at Seafood Park, Info-valley

Bhubaneswar: The Land Allotment Committee headed by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi Friday approved the proposal for allotment of land for seven small industrial units at Seafood Park, Deras and Info-valley.

The state-run Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) is developing the Seafood Park and Info-valley, Khurda for non-mineral industries.

During the meeting, IDCO chairman-cum-managing director (CMD) Sanjay Kumar Singh presented eight investment proposals for land allotment while the panel gave in principle approval to land allotment for seven units with employment potential of around 3,200, official sources said.

Singh said, “So far 28 industrial units have been allotted land in these two estates which are having employment potential of 16,315 persons. Out of 28 units, 15 have been given land in Sea Food Park with employment potential of 7,728. Similarly, 13 units in Info-valley were provided land with employment potential of 8,587.”

Recently, more units were given the choice for these two estates through State Level Single Window Authority, District Level Single Window Authority and Nodal departments.

The committee approved the proposals for allotment of 5.20 acre land to ITC Ltd for manufacturing of biscuits, noodles and snacks; 5.03 acres to Star GSM for ESDM manufacturing at Info-valley; 4.10 acres to CTEL Infosystems for   development of the Internet of things software at Info-Valley; 3 acres to Sabri Food for seafood processing at Deras; 20 acres to Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) for permanent campus at Bhubaneswar; and 4 acres to Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) for establishment of World Skill Centre at Mancheswar.

Other investment proposals for manufacturing of lithium battery, solar panel and inverter at Info-valley were put before the technical committee for reassessment of the land requirement, the source added.
