Kaptipada: In a shocking incident, a teacher allegedly forced two students of a residential school to get the punctured tyre of his bike repaired in Jadida panchayat under Kaptipada block in Mayurbhanj district Monday.
According to a report, Talapokhari project primary school has 235 students. The school has a hostel where 76 students are accommodated.
Monday, two students – Narendra Purty and Dabu Nayak– were found pushing a bike with a punctured wheel on the village road. Some villagers saw it and objected to it. The bike belonged to assistant teacher Parameswar Dalei.
Dalei and another teacher had asked the two students to get the leak repaired. Leaving their studies, the students pushed the bike to a repair shop.
Nityananda Sethi, the headmaster-in-charge, said he was not aware of the incident. He said he would take steps to stop recurrence of such incidents. PNN
