Bhubaneswar: As the prelims of the junior category of Mettle Meet 2019 came to an end, anxious faces could be singled out at the waiting arena when the names of the eventual qualifiers were just about to flash.
In a desperate bid, students tried to lay their hands on the mobile phone — swiping left and right — searching for the validation of their answers with bated breath.
“It was really a nerve-wracking session. The questions were a bit tough but not unanswerable. We needed a bit more time to figure those out. After checking on Google, we realised that we got most of them correct,” said Archit Sahoo of Future Public School.
While most students looked confident after their prelims, they agreed that the quizmaster did throw some tricky set of questions.
While many were confident of the answers they gave everyone agreed that the new quizmaster had put an interesting set of questions. “We were all at sea when we were asked what numbers 612 and 533 signify,” Archit said.
Archit was referring to the GI codes that were recently in news after Odisha Rasagola got a registration tag from Registrar of Geographical Indication (GI).
