Director Mrutyunjaya Sahoo has dealt with different subjects in each of his films. Therefore, it is safe to assume that he would stick to that trend in his upcoming directorial project Bhairab. The film is the tale of a group of grown-up orphans. Its mahurat was held Wednesday in Khurda in the presence of the lead stars and the crew and the shooting for the film is on.
“A group of orphan boys who are brought up together develop a deep bonding. Later, when they grow up one of the six friends gets entangled in a murder case. As he tries to overcome the adversity that had befallen him, the plottakes another big twist and the friends get estranged. After this opening part, the plot runs through engaging twists and culminates into an interesting climax,” said the director.
Bhairab is Sahoo’s fifth directorial venture. He has directed renowned stars in his earlier films like Bachelor, Jie jaha kahu mora dho, Chhati tale ding dong and Gote sua gote sari.
Bhairab casts debutants Asit, Ahana and Elsa alongside Papu Pom Pom in the lead roles, with veterans Pintu Nanda and Samaresh sharing screen space with the newbies. The film is Anjaaneya Media Private Limited’s third film after Bad Girl and Dharma. Sisirchandra Das has produced the movie. Abhijit Majumdar is the music director and Debidatta Mohanty has written the dialogues.
Asked about the release date, the director intimated that once shooting and post production work is over the film will hit theatres. “We expect it to release during Ganesh puja,” he added.
