Kujang: Former MP and chairman of Scheduled Caste cell, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee, Bibhu Prasad Tarai Friday slammed the state and central governments at a function in Jagatsinghpur district.
Both Tarai and PCC secretary Pramod Kishore Jena have been felicitated at the function in the Kujang Information Centre.
Speaking at the function, Tarai supported many of the allegations raised by Damodar Rout and said the people would give a befitting reply in the next elections.
He also criticised BJD’s plan to field a candidate from outside the constituency.
Political observers said the move by Tarai, who was once regarded as a firm opponent of Rout, to support the views of the ousted BJD leader is an indication of their intent to come together in Paradip politics.
