Simulia: A 60-yr-old lady teacher named Kuntala Jena has desired to donate her organs after death, to be used by students of science for better learning of human anatomy.
According to sources, Kuntala has spent her entire service career in educating the students and she will retire in coming February 2020. She joined the Haladiasahi primary school under Kaptipada block in Mayurbhanj district after clearing CT in 1987.
Kuntala is now working as an Assistant Teacher at the Bauripada nodal UP school. She belongs to Bana village of Bangarkhadi Gadia panchayat under Simulia block in Balasore district, a report said.
Moreover, Kuntala’s husband Arjun Jena is known to be a retired government servant and all her children including two sons and two daughters are well educated and settled.
Giving her views on the wish to donate organs, Kuntala said, “Initially, my family members could not accept such an unusual proposal for emotional reasons. However, they subsequently agreed.”
