Tenacious Kalpana conquers Aconcagua

Angul, Jan 28:  Everest conqueror Kalpana Das of Orissa has reached atop the highest South American peak, Aconcagua successfully January 15. Angul collector Sachin Rama Chandra Jadhav hailed and felicitated Kalpana for her success here Wednesday. “Kalpana is an inspiration for all the girls of Dhenkanal district and Orissa,” Jadhav stated in his speech.

Talking about her experiences Kalpana stated that it had been a very difficult but enriching experience. “The expedition was very difficult. The temperature was pretty low and the weather was dry. My nose used to bleed regularly due to lack of oxygen,” Kalpana stated. “But I willed myself on in spite of the obstacles,” she added.
