This why Priyanka Chose 'The Sky is Pink' for her comeback in Hindi films

Mumbai: The film ‘The Sky is Pink’ starring Priyanka Chopra is creating a lot of buzz on social media ever since its trailer was released.

Directed by Shonali Bose, the film will be released in over 25 countries.  Priyanka is busy in promoting the film and meanwhile she revealed why she chose ‘The Sky is Pink’ to comeback in the Hindi film industry.

Recently Priyanka has shared a video on Instagram in which it shows glimpses of the film’s promotions. The actress recently arrived at the Toronto Film Festival for the film’s premiere. Speaking to the media, she said that for the first time, she is playing the role of a co- producer for a Hindi film and also said that she liked the script and wanted to showcase it to as many people as she can. This is the reason why she chose this film for her comeback.

Priyanka was initially scheduled to make a comeback with Salman Khan’s film ‘Bharat’. But she quit the film at the last moment which infuriated Salman. Salman’s displeasure was seen in the film promotions of ‘Bharat’.

Later, Katrina Kaif was roped in as a replacement. Released on Eid, the film earned Rs 314.68 crore at the box office.

It is worth mentioning that ‘The Sky Is Pink’ stars Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim, and Rohit Suresh Saraf. The film is the return of Chopra after a break of three years from the Hindi film industry.

It is based on the love story of a couple spanning 25 years, told through the lens of their spunky teenage daughter – Aisha Chaudhary, who is diagnosed with a terminal illness.
