Keonjhar: Police Friday arrested three persons and detained a minor for allegedly uploading the intimate moments of a couple’s video on social media.
All the accused have been arrested under POCSO Act and IT Act and were forwarded to court Saturday.
The accused have been identified as Harish Nayak and Prahallad Nayak of Nuagaon and Pratap Nayak of Badaposi village.
The incident took place at a forest in Dabarchua area near Turumunga in this district July 14.
“We had received information on the viral video doing rounds on social media for last five to six days. Following SP’s direction, we had conducted an inquiry and subsequently arrested all the four accused,” said Turumunga police station in-charge Satyajit Das.
While the couple has not registered any complaint so far regarding the incident, the police started an investigation.
“We have started our investigation. The other accomplices would soon be rounded up,” said Das.
As per reports, the youths had spotted the couple in an intimate position in the forest and forced the duo to repeat the act. They had also recorded the act on their phones and later uploaded it.
