Hatadihi (Keonjhar district): Three persons were injured in a group clash between residents of this block and of Chhenapadi around noon Friday. The fight was over an issue of soft drink. Police reached the spot, detained three persons and seized a sword. Steps were in place to avoid more clashes, police said.
“Some villagers had a verbal fight with a shopkeeper over soft drink in Chhenapadi market. This turned into a group fight involving locals of Hatadihi block and Chhenapadi.
Anandapur sub-divisional police officer Maheswar Sethy, Nandipada IIC Bijay Mallick, ASI Sanatan Maharana and a posse of police reached the spot and managed to bring the situation under control. An investigation is on”, police and other sources said.
