Bhubaneswar: The Regional Centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Wednesday sounded a thunderstorm and lightning alert for 14 districts in the state.
The warning has been issued for Khordha, Sundergarh, Deogarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal districts.
“Latest Doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and moderate rainfall is likely to occur over these districts Wednesday,” the Met office said.
