Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of Indian Meteorological Department has issued thunderstorm and lightning warning for 11 districts of Odisha and advised people in these areas to remain alert till 2:30 pm Monday.
Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh and Ganjam are the districts have been alerted for thunderstorm and heavy rainfall.
Early in the morning, the Met had issued thunderstorm and heavy rainfall warning for Puri, Bolangir, Nuapada, Angul, Khurda, Cuttack, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Koraput, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh and Malkangiri districts till 10:30 am Monday.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off Odisha coast during next 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
