Padampur (Bargarh): A man was allegedly beaten to death by his son over family feud at Bijorbhata village under Jagdalpur police limits in Padampur area of Bargarh district Wednesday morning.
The accused has been identified as Dilip Bhoi, son of the deceased Asaram Bhoi.
According to sources, Dilip returned home in an inebriated state. He broke out in an altercation with his father over some family dispute.
In a fit of rage, he took a wooden stick and hit his father, leading to his death on the spot.
On receipt of information, police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. The body was sent for autopsy and a probe into the incident was launched.
