Markets, business establishments and government offices have remained closed while vehicular movement has also been hit due to the bandh in the region.

Due to the bandh, several trains have been halted at Redhakhol station. Police forces have also been deployed to avoid any untoward situation.Meanwhile, adequate security measures have been taken by the district administration to avoid any untoward incident.

Several organisations and locals also extended their support to the bandh. However, emergency services and educational institutions have been exempted from the purview of the bandh.
