Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: Shiv Prasad Panda alias Bhabani, the prime accused in the Bharatpur triple murder case, was sent to police remand for two days by the court of the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM). Commissionerate Police, however, said they sought a five-day remand.
Bhabani was reportedly taken from Jharpada jail for interrogation after the court permitted his remand. During his remand, police will take him to the crime spot to recreate the sequence of events leading to the crime he had committed January 27.
Police have still not found the weapon of offence: the axe. Police will also be looking for the blood-stained clothes of the accused during his remand.
