Phulnakhara: Two persons were arrested on charges of outraging the modesty of a woman here late Friday night, a senior Cuttack Sadar police official said Monday.
Brajakishore Das, 23, and Dipti Ranjan Behera, 28, residents of Brahmanijharilo village under Cuttack Sadar police limits were taken into custody for allegedly raping the woman, a resident under the police limits here, the official added.
Police said the accused forced themselves on the victim after finding her alone at her residence late Friday night. “The victim approached us Saturday evening following which a case (478/18) was registered and the accused were taken into custody Monday,” Cuttack Sadar IIC Sudhanshu Sekhar Jena said, adding that the duo has been medically examined.
