UAIL conferred with Mahatma award for excellence in CSR

Rayagada: Utkal Alumina International Ltd (UAIL), a subsidiary of Aditya Birla group, bagged the prestigious Mahatma Award for excellence in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR) by Liveweek at a glittering function organised at Gurugram October 1, 2019.

The award function was organised to commemorate the 150^th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The award was received by Bipul Chatterjee, head CSR, Hindalco, Gajendra Naik, Asst Manager (CSR) and Kartikeswar Sahoo, Asst Manager (CSR) from Padma Bhusan Rajashree Birla in presence of Dr Pragnya Ram, Group Executive President of Aditya Birla Group.

Notably, Utkal Alumina has been implementing a gamut of CSR projects on various sectors in the remote blocks of Kashipur and T Rampur blocks in Rayagada and Kalahandi districts respectively. These interventions have brought visible changes in the lives of people.
