Boudh: An undertrial prisoner (UTP) lodged at sub-jail in Boudh district died following a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital Monday.
The deceased was identified as Gopal Biswal (40) of Baksepada area in West Bengal.
According to sources, he was arrested June 4 on charges of ganja peddling and was lodged in the sub-jail since then due to rejection of his bail plea.
He complained of chest pain Sunday evening following which he was taken to the hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
