Talcher: A team of Vigilance officials raided the houses of assistant engineer Chandramani Sahoo working in Talcher Rural Development (RD) sub-division in Angul district Wednesday morning.

According to official sources, the sleuths raided several places in connection with the officer amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The anti-corruption agency conducted simultaneous searches at Sahoo’s residential double storied building at Dhenkanal town, his 2 BHK flat near Rajarani temple at Tankapani Road area in Bhubaneswar, four tile-roofed houses in Dhenkanal town, his native place at Khandabandha in Dhenkanal district, a house of his relative in this town and his office room in Talcher.
Total valuation of his movable and immovable properties is yet to be ascertained. Some important documents have been seized. The raids were underway till the last report came in.
