Bargarh: A team of Vigilance officials from Sambalpur division conducted simultaneous raids on the houses of a school headmaster in Bargarh district Wednesday in connections with a disproportionate assets case.

The school headmaster was identified as Pramod Kumar Panigrahi. He presently works at Ganthiapali high school in Bargarh district, an official of the Vigilance team informed.
The search was carried out at five different places including Ganthiapali school office and two houses of the teacher at Barpali and Dunguripali areas in Bargarh. The anti-graft team has unravelled assets of Panigrahi at Agalpur and Tileipali areas in the district as well.
Exact amount of disproportionate assets possessed by Panigrahi is yet to be ascertained, said an official of the team.
Notably, a Vigilance team Tuesday unearthed properties to the tune of Rs 4.03 crore accumulated by an assistant teacher Dushmant Nayak from Gangalpadu School at Paralakhemundi town in Gajapati district.
