Burla: Demanding the reinstatement of two sacked workers, the contractual workers of VIMSAR have threatened to go ahead with a cease work strike from July 11.
The VIMSAR director dismissed two workers- Naveen Chandra Samal and Santosh Kumar Behera – July 2.
The contractual workers have alleged that the director has intentionally sacked two workers.
They threatened to go ahead with the strike if a notification to revoke the dismissal decision is not taken by Tuesday.
All the contractual workers will resort to cease work strike from Wednesday, they said.
The contractual workers had joined a programme ‘Let’s go to meet the CM’ called by Odisha Karmachari Mahamancha between June 25 and June 27.
The workers said they had intimated the director about their programme. They alleged that the director dismissed the duo on the charges that they were absent from their duties.
