Bhubaneswar: Students of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) and Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital (MKCGMCH) Thursday knocked the doors of Orissa High Court opposing its recent directive allowing the admission of the students of the beleaguered Sardar Rajas Medical College (SRMC) in their institutions.

The medicos of VIMSAR had taken out a silent protest march before the main gate of the institution at Burla November 21 opposing the readmission of 45 students of SRMC, based at Jaring in Kalahandi district, into their college complaining infrastructural deficiencies and shortage of faculty members as well as non-teaching staff at VIMSAR.

Following the protests by their VIMSAR counterparts, MKCGMCH medicos had taken to the streets in Berhampur Tuesday opposing Orissa High Court’s directive.
