Baripada: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik addressed a Mission Shakti meeting at Chhau Ground in Baripada Wednesday, but MP Ramchandra Hansda, who was allegedly involved in chit fund scam, was not invited.
His absence in the meeting created a buzz here. The MP was allegedly sidelined by the party. The MP has expressed his unhappiness over being ignored by the administration.
His supporters were angry and staged a demonstration outside the collectorate. However, none from the district administration made any comment.
Talking to media persons, Hansda said an administrative official had contacted him about the meeting at 8 am.
As he had other programmes, he could not attend it.
He alleged that all functionaries of the district unit of BJD were called to the meeting while the administration deliberately did not call him to the meeting.
