During the festival season in India, people often begin dancing anytime music hits their ears. At present, Navratri, one of the biggest Hindu festivals, is underway. It began September 22 and will end October 2. Today, September 26, marks Navratri Day 5, which is dedicated to Goddess Skandamata, believed to be another form of Goddess Durga.
Amid the festivities, both old and new videos of people dancing are resurfacing on social media. One such clip is now going viral, showing a group of men performing garba inside a Mumbai local train. The men, appearing young at heart, seemed carefree as they flaunted their garba moves.

The clip quickly gained attention online. While many admired the spirit displayed in the video, others questioned the group’s ‘civic sense.’
“Garba in Mumbai Local Train,” read the post, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘jugalupadhyay1.’ Posted a few days ago, it has since drawn numerous reactions.
Comments flooded social media, with one user writing, “India lacks civic sense.” Another user countered, saying, “This is why I love India. Festivals here are just too big and for all the right reasons. No matter how many festivals come around the year, each is celebrated with full zeal. I love that about India.”
