Rayagada: Police Saturday cracked the murder mystery of a man working as cook at a dhaba as it arrested his wife and her paramour under Chandili police limits on the outskirts of Rayagada town.
The murder took place over the extramarital affair of the deceased’s wife with the other accused, SDPO Rashmi Ranjan Senapati said at a presser held here Saturday.
The victim was identified as Binay Pal, a dhaba cook by profession residing at Saipriya Nagar on the outskirts of Rayagada town.
Chandili police arrested his accused wife Sunita Pal and her paramour G Kartik. The accused were produced in the court and remanded to judicial custody, the SDPO said. According to the SDPO, Binaya was brutally killed November 15 night.
The deceased’s father Rajanikant Pal lodged a complaint at Chandili police station. Police registered a case and found Sunita to have killed Binay in assistance with Kartik, her paramour. The duo had an extramarital affair going on for the last several days, the SDPO said.
Police registered a case under Sections 302, 201, 120(B), and 34 of the IPC. An eight-month-old kid of Sunita and Binaya was also remanded to judicial custody along with her mother.
