Baripada: A 20-year-old woman gave birth to quadruplets in Mayurbhanj district, Tuesday.
Jhunurani Dhal, wife of Uttam Dhal of Shingada village under Suliapada block, was seven-month pregnant.
Jhunurani was admitted to the Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College & Hospital after she complained of labour pain. She gave birth to three girls and a boy at 1.18 pm Tuesday.
The four babies weigh around 680 gm, 580 gm, 730 gm and 900 gm respectively.
The delivery was normal and the condition of Jhunurani is stable.
The babies are undergoing treatment at the Sick Newborn Care Unit, reports said.
