Balasore: Police cracked a murder case that had taken place Saturday at Malagan in Barunasingh panchayat under Remuna block of Balasore.
The woman, identified as Tillo Ma, killed her husband Jaydev Das (40) with help of her paramour Nitesh, SDPO Prabhas Chandra Pal said at a press meet here Tuesday.
Police said that Tillo Ma used to have a physical relationship with driver Nitesh of Khantapada. However, Jaydev strongly opposed the illicit affair with Nitesh. Upset, Tillo Ma and Nitesh hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Jaydev.
Tilli Ma called Nitesh Saturday night. Nitesh hacked Jaydev with an axe while the latter was asleep. Jayedv succumbed at hospital. On the basis of call details, police reached Nitesh.
