Cuttack: A woman was kept confined at an unidentified place in Cuttack by a youth who raped her repeatedly for four days.
The victim, a mother of two, lodged a complaint with Jagatpur police Saturday in this regard after which police launched a search operation to locate the place where she was confined. But the victim could not reveal much about the place of her confinement.
According to the woman, she was waiting at Badambadi bus stand for a bus to her paternal home on the night of October 19 along with her two sons when the accused approached her and inquired about where she wanted to go. The woman’s sons, meanwhile, asked her to bring dahi bara for them. The youth said he would bring it for them.
A few minutes later the youth came with dahi bara allegedly spiked with drugs and requested her to go to a nearby house. The woman unaware of the man’s intentions accompanied him to the house along with her children.
“I lost my consciousness after having the dahi bara. When I regained my sense, I realised that I had been raped. My sons were lying beside me. I tried to escape when the man locked the house from outside,” she alleged.
“The youth raped me repeatedly for four days. He was drunk and fell asleep Saturday night when I escaped from the captivity,” the victim added.
She met a motorcyclist and revealed her ordeal after which he took her to Jagatpur police station.
Acting on the complaint, police along with the woman visited many areas to locate the place of her captivity. But the woman could not identify the exact location.
Efforts are on to nab the accused, police said.
