Cuttack: A woman was robbed of Rs 6 lakh in cash right in front of the Madhupatna police station here by a two-member, unidentified bike-borne gang Saturday. They snatched her bag and fled from the spot.
The incident occurred while the woman was returning home after withdrawing money from the State Bank of India branch near Arunodaya Market. After withdrawing the amount, the woman along with her cousin was on her way back home on a motorcycle. The gang, apparently following the victim from near the bank, snatched the bag from her.
Based on a complaint by the woman, police registered a case and launched a manhunt.
