Woman sets hubby afire over refusal of ‘phone password’

Indonesia: In a bizarre incident, an Indonesian woman burnt her husband alive after he refused to give her the password of his mobile phone.

According to reports, accused Illham Cahyani asked password of her husband Dedi Purnama’s phone, while he was busy in repairing roof tiles of his house.

However, Dedi Purnama refused to give his password and they got into an argument following which she hit him with a blunt object.

Later, she poured petrol on him and set him ablaze.

Some people rushed him to the Keruak health center however he was declared dead after battling for life.

Cahyani was arrested and remanded in custody at East Lombok Regional Police Station, although it is unclear if she has been charged till the filing of the report.

The investigation is on.
